The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold its 102nd National Executive Committee meeting at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

Images from the venue, shared on the party’s official social media platforms, showed leaders, governors and stakeholders arriving for the crucial gathering.

The meeting, scheduled to begin at 2 pm, is expected to discuss key issues, including the report of the National Zoning Committee and preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention.

Party insiders told Punch that today’s session is considered a pivotal moment for the PDP as it works to position itself ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to the insiders, the meeting reflects the party’s renewed determination to provide Nigerians with a credible opposition and prepare for victory at the next polls.

Naija News had earlier reported that during the 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, the future of some top members accused of anti-party activities, including Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and former Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, is expected to be decided.

The Tom Ikimi-led disciplinary committee has already submitted its report to the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), recommending sanctions against members indicted in petitions for working against the PDP during the last general elections.

Also high on the agenda is the party’s forthcoming national convention slated for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, where new national officers will be elected.
